Assad Delivers Blatant Conclusive Message: Will the Sane Adhere?

Amine Hoteit - al-Thawra as-Souria Daily (Syrian Revolution)

Syrian President Bashar Assad delivered, with calm and confidence, a conclusive and blatant message to whom it may concern on Sunday.

He informed - after displaying accurate and objective descriptions and a self-confident personality of great awareness of his surroundings - every person involved in the Syrian affair that there are lines no sane individual must cross:

1- Syria is an independent country subject to foreign aggression, continuously defends itself, and cannot be stopped by any obstruction.

2- Syria is strong and secure and will incessantly win its defensive battle until terrorists' annihilation.

3- Any reformation, change, or political system development exclusively goes to the Syrian people's say, and they are the only one's responsible for deciding and choosing.

4- The Palestinian cause is Syria's primary obligation and one individual's corruption does not affect in the least the Syrian view towards the cause. Syria will always hold on to its rights and not be affected, and the Golan Heights will be liberated.

5- Syria is stronger than it was, will hold accountability to whoever offended it, and will not forget assisting its people and entity.

Hence, President Assad, through his speech, snipped any hope from several directions and maneuvers, and assured he will not allow any solutions to be imposed on Syria from abroad. Also, no schemes or powers can intervene in Syria since it is well aware of its surroundings and deals with events as such:

• Foreign schemes should stay abroad, and whoever wishes secession between Syria and its allies should know that Syria befriends those who respect its sovereignty and independent decisions, and do not pressure Syria and violate its sovereignty.

• Syria categorized elements involved in the current events into enemy tools who impose aggression and patriots who hold Syria's true interest at heart.

• Aiding Syria would not be applied through violating its sovereignty or dictating what it should do; but by ceasing aggression and resource depletion, and provoking murder.

• Syria's success in its defensive battle was due to the people's perseverance and awareness, and its Army's increasing strength and determination, which reassures Syrians.

Upon this, we conclude that President Assad's speech yesterday was the upcoming victory speech. Congratulations to all who love Syria, and may victory prevail.
