Palestinian Resistance Hails Jerusalem Operation, Enemy Infuriated


Palestinian resistance on Tuesday hailed Jerusalem operation in which two Palestinians killed at least four Israelis in a synagogue in the occupied western Al-Quds neighborhood of Har Nof.

Hamas and Islamic Jihad hailed the attack, saying it was in reaction to the killing of a Palestinian bus driver. In a statement, Hamas movement said it was "a response to the murder of the martyr Yusuf Ramuni."

A Palestinian bus driver from east Al-Quds was found hanged inside his vehicle late on Sunday after being beaten.

Tuesday shooting was carried out by two Palestinians early on Tuesday, reports said, adding that he two attackers were reportedly martyred at the scene by the occupation police.

Kerry and Netanyahu
On the other hand, US Secretary of State John Kerry condemned the shooting, saying: "Our hearts go out for all Israelis for the atrocity of this event and for all the reminders of history that come with it."

"People who have come to worship god in a sanctuary of a synagogue were... murdered in a holy place in an act of pure terror and senseless brutality and murder,” he told reporters.
"I call on the Palestinian leadership at every single level to condemn this in the most powerful terms... and take serious steps to restrain any kind of incitement"," he added.

"This violence has no place anywhere, particularly after the discussion that we had just the other day in Amman."

Six other people were wounded, among them two policemen, AFP reported, noting that the two attackers were identified as Palestinians from east al-Quds.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Bnejamin Netanyahu said the attack is the "direct result" of incitement by Palestinian Authority Chief Mahmoud Abbas and resistance group Hamas.

"This is the direct result of incitement by Hamas and Abu Mazen (Abbas), incitement that the international community ignores in an irresponsible manner," Netanyahu said in a statement.
It added that he would meet security chiefs during the afternoon.

For his part, Abbas condemned the attack in a statement issued by his office.
