“Washington has received a slap from its master…” says Maria Zakharova.
I could be wrong, but I’m guessing Zakharova, though not an American, does nonetheless have at least sufficient superficial knowledge of US politics to know that Obama is not the “master” of Washington. What is so fascinating about her comment is that Washington did in fact just get a slap from its real master.
